This publication ethics statement outlines the responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher in ensuring transparency, fairness, and scholarly rigor throughout the publication process.

Ethical Principles

The publication of articles in SCHOLE represents a collaborative effort among authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. Ethical behavior is essential to maintain trust in scholarly communication and to ensure that published works contribute responsibly to the advancement of knowledge in social and holistic education.

Duties of Authors

Originality: Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.
Plagiarism: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.
Multiple or Redundant Publication: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
Authorship: Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research. All contributors must be appropriately acknowledged.
Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data and must be prepared to provide raw data if requested.
Ethical Research: Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards, including informed consent and confidentiality.

Duties of Editors

Fair Decision-Making: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and originality, without discrimination.
Confidentiality: Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.
Conflict of Interest: Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
Editorial Responsibility: Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts are accepted or rejected based on peer review recommendations.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.
Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments.
Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline review when appropriate.
Timeliness: Reviewers should complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts containing unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected or returned to authors for clarification or revision.

Handling of Misconduct

Allegations of research or publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices, will be investigated by the editorial team. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction of published articles, and notification of the author’s institution.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, the journal will publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions as necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Articles published in SCHOLE are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work with appropriate attribution.
