Author Guidelines
SCHOLE: Studies of Social and Holistic Education accepts original manuscripts that contribute to the development of social, educational, and holistic perspectives in education. Manuscripts must be prepared strictly in accordance with the official SCHOLE template to ensure consistency, clarity, and academic quality.
Submissions
Authors are required to register and log in to submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors must ensure that their manuscripts comply with all of the following requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to authors for revision prior to the peer review process.
- The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
- The manuscript has been prepared using the official SCHOLE manuscript template.
- The manuscript file is submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- The reference list contains a minimum of 15 scholarly sources, with at least 70% published within the last 10 years.
- All in-text citations and references strictly follow the APA Style (7th Edition).
Manuscript Categories
During the submission process, authors must select the manuscript category that best represents the nature of their work:
- Research Article – Reports empirical, experimental, qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method research.
- Review Article – Provides a critical synthesis of relevant literature on a specific topic.
- Conceptual Paper – Develops theoretical perspectives, models, or conceptual frameworks without empirical data.
- Case Study – Describes and analyzes practical experiences, interventions, or contextual educational phenomena.
Language
Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. However, manuscripts accepted for publication must be finalized in English prior to publication.
Formatting Requirements
Manuscripts must follow the formatting specifications outlined in the SCHOLE template:
- Font: Lora, 10 pt
- Line spacing: 1.15
- Paper size: A4
- Paragraph indentation: 1 cm
- Title length: maximum 15 words
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts must be organized according to the SCHOLE article structure as follows:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Literature Review
- Research Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgment (optional)
- References
Ethical Considerations
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and integrity of their work. All manuscripts must comply with ethical research and publication standards. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or unethical practice will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.
