Publication Ethics

SCHEMA: Studies of Contemporary Approaches and Management is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal expects all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, to follow ethical principles and uphold responsible scholarly publishing practices.

This publication ethics statement is intended to ensure the quality, transparency, originality, and credibility of all articles published in SCHEMA. Any form of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, unethical authorship, and conflict of interest violations, is not acceptable.

Duties of Authors

Acknowledgement Authors should acknowledge all individuals, institutions, funding bodies, or organizations that contributed to the research where appropriate.
Conflict of Interest Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that may influence the research or interpretation of findings.

Duties of Editors

The editors of SCHEMA: Studies of Contemporary Approaches and Management are responsible for making fair, objective, and transparent editorial decisions. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, contribution to knowledge, and compliance with publication ethics.

  • Editors must evaluate manuscripts without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political belief.
  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
  • Editors must ensure that the peer-review process is conducted fairly and objectively.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers play an important role in maintaining the scholarly quality of the journal. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, objective, and timely feedback to assist editors in making editorial decisions and to help authors improve their manuscripts.

  • Reviewers must keep all manuscripts and related information confidential.
  • Reviewers must provide fair, constructive, and evidence-based comments.
  • Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts based on originality, relevance, methodology, analysis, discussion, and contribution to the field.
  • Reviewers must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for personal advantage.
  • Reviewers should decline the review invitation if they have a conflict of interest or lack sufficient expertise in the manuscript topic.

Plagiarism and Similarity Policy

All manuscripts submitted to SCHEMA may be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that contain plagiarism, excessive similarity, improper citation, or unethical use of sources may be rejected before or during the peer-review process.

Authors are expected to ensure that all quoted, paraphrased, or adapted materials are properly cited. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or any form of academic dishonesty.

Duplicate Submission and Redundant Publication

Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Manuscripts that have been previously published, are under review elsewhere, or substantially overlap with other published works without proper disclosure are not acceptable for publication in SCHEMA.

Research Data and Integrity

Authors are responsible for presenting accurate and reliable research data. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation of data, selective reporting, or misleading interpretation of findings is considered a serious violation of publication ethics.

Where applicable, authors should retain research data and be prepared to provide clarification or supporting information if requested by the editorial team during the review or publication process.

Ethical Clearance and Human Subjects

Research involving human participants, organizations, confidential information, or sensitive data must follow appropriate ethical standards. Authors are responsible for obtaining informed consent, institutional permission, or ethical clearance where required.

Personal information, confidential organizational data, and sensitive research materials must be handled responsibly and must not be disclosed without proper authorization.

Conflict of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Conflicts of interest may include financial relationships, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, academic competition, or other conditions that could influence the objectivity of the publication process.

If a conflict of interest is identified, the editorial team will take appropriate action to ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity in the review and publication process.

Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawal

The journal may issue corrections, retractions, or withdrawal notices when necessary. Corrections may be published when errors are identified in a published article but do not invalidate the overall findings. Retractions may be issued when there is clear evidence of unreliable findings, plagiarism, unethical research, duplicate publication, or serious publication misconduct.

Authors may request manuscript withdrawal before publication by providing a clear and valid reason to the editorial team. The final decision regarding withdrawal, correction, or retraction rests with the editorial team and publisher.

Publication Decision

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the editor based on the results of editorial screening, reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, originality, and compliance with publication ethics.

The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the academic, technical, or ethical standards of SCHEMA: Studies of Contemporary Approaches and Management.

Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher of SCHEMA supports the editorial team in maintaining publication quality, ethical standards, editorial independence, and the sustainability of the journal. The publisher does not interfere with editorial decisions and supports the implementation of transparent and responsible publishing practices.
